If any of the questions above fit you, I want you to know there is hope for you. No matter how you life life is going, no matter what has happened in your past, no matter what problems you have in this life there is always hope for you.
So here's the hard part. Seek help. I want you to realize there is always someone that you can talk to that can help you in your struggles. Even for those that don't want to go find someone because they don't want to talk to a stranger. there is still hope. The person behind this keyboard is always willing to point you in the right direction. ALWAYS! Specifically, if you comment your contact info I'll do my very best to contact you. Comments on this site only go to me and will never be posted. If that's not your preference, please contact a local, Christian church. If they are aligned with His word (the Bible) then you are in the right place. Your local Christian churches have people that will gladly guide you along the right path. They will likely walk you through what's know as "The Romans Road". This is a set of scriptures explaining your salvation and what's required of you, all of which I'll cover here.
For now, I want you to understand that no matter what, God loves you. So much so that he sent his only son to die on a cross over 2000 years ago for you. Jesus died for our sins; that was for all of us. This is an unconditional love that extends to all of us. To accept His gift you only need to do a few things, which I'll cover in a moment.
Why would you need to accept this gift? Due to the sinful nature of all humans, all are condemned to death. When you die you will be judged for your sins. If you have never accepted the gift of God's love, you will be sent to an eternity in hell. If you accept this gift, you will have eternal life in heaven. I'll discuss this in detail shortly.
And for the here-and-now, accepting this gift will also change you life, your outlook on everything, and gives you peace in your life that only God's people will know. I'm not saying that all your troubles will go away. What I'm saying is that you will have a different set of priorities, a mindset that allows you to deal with difficult situations, and hope to sustain you throughout your life.
To break this down into what you need to begin, I'll cover scripture from God's word.
Romans 3:23 "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..."
We have all sinned.
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
This is His unconditional love. We can't save ourselves; only Jesus' death and resurrection could save us for our sins.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"
Recognize that you are a sinner and Jesus died for your sins.
Romans 8:1 "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ..."
If you are "in Christ" you have now placed your faith in God and believe that Jesus died and was resurrected.
Romans 10:9 "...that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"
Confessing your sins, admitting that you are a sinner, and accepting a relationship with the Lord.
If you believe that Jesus died and was resurrected for your salvation, you have accepted that you are a sinner, you have confessed your sins, and accept the gift that God has given you I would like for you to say this prayer with me:
"Heavenly Father, I am a sinner, but I want to dedicate my life to You. I know that You sent Your Son to be crucified to pay for my sins and was resurrected. Please Lord, forgive me of my sins. I want to live this life as your believer and live in your light. I understand that repentance means not only admitting that I have sinned, but that I also will no longer sin. Lord please accept my repentance of sin so that I may walk with you for eternity. Lord, I give my life and my soul to you. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen!"
This is the key to a new life and a peace that you have never know. God bless you all!
