Psalms 150:4 "...praise Him with the strings..."

Psalms 150:4 NIV "...praise Him with the strings..."

This one has propelled me further in my walk with God that I ever thought it would. Being a musician since I was young, I had some friends of the family that led me to play music. They are still great musicians and also children of God. God's plan was always to have music in my life. I have been blessed to be able to play a few instruments. While I'm not great at one or tow of them, I look back at Psalms 150 as inspiration.

While not everyone has the ability to play an instrument, this verse isn't about just instruments. It is about praising Him where you are, with what you have, as long as you have breath.

Praise the Lord.

Praise God in His sanctuary;

praise Him in His mighty heavens.

Praise Him for His acts of power;

praise Him for His surpassing greatness.

Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet,

praise Him with the harp and lyre,

praise Him with timbrel and dancing,

praise Him with the strings and pipe,

praise Him with the clash of cymbals,

praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.
